During 2011 we were successful in obtaining $40,458 in joint funding from Victorian State Government (DPCD) and City of Greater Geelong.
What the Funding is for: Upgrade works to the Barwon Heads Community Arts Garden, including resurfacing driveway and paths for disability access, installing grid-connected solar power, establishing a small outdoor kitchen area & pizza oven, and upgrading the garden room facilities.
Why the Department is Funding this Activity: The Victorian Community Support Grants program aims to build stronger, more active and inclusive neighbourhoods and communities by funding them to build on their assets which range from local skills, knowledge and the strength of social connections and networks through to facilities, buildings and other infrastructure.
